Brian Dettmann has been publishing new reviews of old comics under the Bargain Comic Reviews banner three times per week since November 2011.  During the course of writing over 75 reviews he kept noticing the ads for Hostess Snack Cakes (Twinkies, Cup Cakes or Fruit Pies).  These one page ads from the mid to late 70s through the early 80s featured prominent comic book characters solving problems through the use of baked goods.  Anyone who grew up reading comics during this time will enjoy the trip down memory lane.
